Welcome to PartyforMax.com

Max DeLacy, 29, is fighting a particularly vicious form of cancer -- a fairly rare one that invaded his sinus and wandered around his head to a jaw, a cheek, behind an eye to the base of his brain.

He is undergoing treatment at the Stanford Cancer Center, one of the best cancer centers on the planet.

Max has insurance, but he faces more than $20,000 in co-payments and hotel and house rentals near Stanford for surgery and two months of radiation and chemotherapy.

To help him, we are going to have one helluva party. More than 10 bands will donate their services, and scores of friends and businesses are donating time, money, food, labor and goods to be auctioned and raffled at "Party to the Max."

Please join us.

Max

Max is a 29-year-old lifetime resident of Tuolumne County, California, up there in the Mother Lode. He is a graduate of Columbia Elementary School and Sonora High School, and he works as a high-steel rigger for entertainment events -- concerts, fairs and such.

He also works at various California venues as a stage hand, and serves a stage manager for the Mother Lode Fair in Sonora, the Strawberry Music Festivals near Yosemite and the High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy.

Max was diagnosed in late October with adeno carcinoma in his sinus, nasal cavaties, palate, near his left eye and abutting his brain.

He underwent surgery on Nov. 10 at Stanford Hospital, and returned a week later to start up to two months of radiation treatment and chemotherapy.
